Chris Dobson
Chris Dobson has been tattooing for approximately 10 years, but his journey to becoming a professional tattoo artist was not an easy one. As a kid, he had a passion for art, particularly graffiti, and spent hours in his sketchbook honing his skills. However, his life took a turn when he got into trouble and was locked up for 10 years at the age of 21.
Despite the challenges he faced, Chris never lost his love for art. While in prison, he dreamed of becoming a professional tattoo artist and worked tirelessly every single day to improve his craft. He developed a plan and dedicated himself to honing his skills, knowing that hard work would eventually pay off.
Today, Chris Dobson's hard work has indeed paid off, and he is living his dream as a professional tattoo artist. Specializing in black and grey realism and black and grey Chicano styles, Chris's work is inspired by his son, Cash, and his drive to provide a better life for his family.
Originally from Newport News, VA, Chris now tattoos in Wilmington, NC, where he continues to push himself to improve and grow as an artist. His journey from graffiti artist to professional tattooer is a testament to the power of dedication and hard work.
