Robert Atkinson, born in 1969 in Los Angeles, has built a remarkable career as a tattoo artist with roots in diverse creative endeavors. His journey into the tattoo world began in 1992 when friends gifted him his first tattoo kit, sparking his passion for the art form. Initially, Robert honed his skills while working at Melrose Tattoo, but it wasn't until his time at Royal Tattoo in Denmark in 1996 that he began to make a name for himself. With a few years of experience focusing on tribal tattoos, Robert relocated to Holland's Dragon Tattoo in Eindhoven, where he developed his distinctive western oriental style that has captivated tattoo enthusiasts worldwide.

Returning to Los Angeles in 2001, Robert Atkinson took the next step in his career by founding 10,000 WAVES TATTOO GALLERY in 2014 alongside his partner Jojo Ackermann. Known for his collaborative approach, Robert works closely with clients to ensure the subject matter and composition of each tattoo resonate personally with them. His most sought-after works are heavily influenced by Japanese culture and are known for their expansive scale and intricate details.
